Adam admits he has learned most of his life lessons the hard way. Growing up in Durham, North Carolina, he is a transplant in Greenville, NC as part of a program he entered at the end of a prison bid. He realized that the street image was getting him nowhere and he wanted better for himself, for his life. He is a father of a 7 year old daughter and a Cosmetology and Business Administration student at Pitt Community College.
His radiant smile lights up the room as he thinks about his future goals.
"Everything I learned I learned in the streets. Everything in my space brought me to where I'm a today. I don't see failure in that. I hope for the best."
