The Black Light Project
Now, more than ever, it is important the we challenge the way media portrays Black Men. Each day we are bombarded by negative stories of who they are not and who they are not. However, our society should know that this is not the case. We are fortunate to be surrounded by Black Men who daily, challenge this narrative simply by virtue of their existence and their commitment to their families, their communities, and to bettering themselves. The Black Light Project was inspired by several life experiences and people. My own personal life, as a wife, a sister, a daughter, and as the mother of 5 sons, I see positive images of black males all around me. This trailer gives you glimpse into my family and how they inspired this journey.
